4 Ways to Use Infographics to Market Your Business

Using infographics to market your business

Are you using infographics to market your business online? If not, you’re missing out! Infographics are one of the best ways to market new content and repurpose your older content. They are bite-sized pieces of content that really pack a punch and engage your audience. Infographics are highly visual, so they’re widely shared. They make the best information easier to digest and drive visitors to your website.

Visually appealing infographics provide so many benefits for a small business blog, so take a look at these 4 ways you can use infographics to market your business!

1. Use infographics to market your most recent blog post

If you’ve recently written a really good blog post that has lots of meaty information in it, you’ve already got the makings of a great infographic. Just mine the most interesting content from the post (if you want to be really productive, go ahead and pull enough content to make a few different infographics) to use for the infographic. Use simple visuals and bright colors in your infographic to make it more appealing to your audience.

2. Repurpose an old post

Maybe you haven’t written any new content in a while, or perhaps you’re just looking to get more miles out of an older post that would otherwise be forgotten. In either case, creating an infographic to market or repurpose an older blog post will revitalize your content and stretch existing posts a little further. As above, just look for the best or most interesting section of the post and put that into your infographic.

3. Attract new visitors and retain current visitors

Bring new visitors to your site and help retain current visitors when you use infographics. You could reach up to 15 million people with just one well-done infographic! What could your blog do with that kind of reach? Stick to topics that have been proven to draw visitors to your site already (this isn’t a good time to try a new topic), create infographics about those topics, and you’ll see more new visitors and returning visitors to your site.

4. Easily and readily share on social media

Easy-to-understand infographics make good information more digestible, and that’s why we like them so much. Your content is easier to share on social media when it’s compact, visual, and compelling, so it’s wise to use infographics to increase your reach on social media and up your chances of going viral.

Twitter is an especially good place to share your infographics and find a larger audience. Using relevant hashtags can put your infographic in the hands and eyes of the people who want to see and share it the most.

Don’t know how to create an infographic?

If you don’t have experience creating infographics, that’s okay. There are several high quality programs and apps that allow you to create infographics for free. Your first try may not be the best, so give it a few tries before you share one on social media.

Here are examples of sites you can use to create an infographic to market your business:

  • Canva
  • Easel.ly
  • Piktochart
