How can you Easily Spread your Content Online?

Spread Content OnlineThe goal of sharing content online is to share it with the world and get the message out there. Once you’ve written a stellar article or made an amazing video or infographic, how do you now spread it for all to see? Your content is a great for businesses that want to get their brand noticed, increase their target audience and convert website visitors into leads but creating the interesting content is the easy part.

The hard part is getting noticed and having people want to come back for more. Business owners that share content online need to find ways to spread it easily so that prospective customers can find them through their published work, otherwise, you’ll be going off of word of mouth referrals and forced to spend money on expensive advertisement.

Here is a look at why your online content is not only necessary for increasing your online presence but how to get it into the hands of people that might want to buy your product or services.

Email newsletters

For starters, you could go the route of email newsletters which is an old-school way to advertise that is still very popular. Email is a great strategy because those that are getting your email would have had to take the time to subscribe to your blog declaring that they want your content.

NewsletterSpreading your content through email is different than other routes because you already have to have the leads to send the email but it’s perfect for maintaining the relationships you’ve built with your current customers.

The goal is to hope that new customers will be intrigued enough by your website or social media pages that they’d want to subscribe to your email newsletters in order to learn more and do business with you in the future. Use emails newsletters to record what offers are driving customers to buy the product or service so that you can plan accordingly in future newsletters.

Get involved with communities and social groups

It would greatly benefit you to participate with groups and communities so that you can easily spread your content with these people of similar interests. You can post your content in a community that could benefit from what you offer either by posting the entire piece or posting a small update that offers a link to the full content.

Avoid self-promotion in these groups and try to make it more entertaining or asking for a call-to-action that would actually benefit the members of the community. For example, a bike salesman would join a biking community and from there, they could offer their eBook they’ve written on the best bike trails around the country in exchange for the members filling out a form to get the download. Those that fill out the form would be your chance at leads and everybody benefits.

Look for groups to join, request membership with the group manager and follow the rules to stay involved. Find them on Facebook publicly and privately or on Google+ where you’ll find what are called “communities.”

Social media updates

Use your business page on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ to post social media updates that will lead to your content. This is going to be your most effective way to get people to look at your content. Use YouTube if you have a great video to show or even Instagram for pictures and videos with a link to see more.

You don’t need to be on every social media site because updating every site can take a lot of time. Look into the research to see what sites your target demographic is using the most and be sure to promote your content using hashtags and concise, interesting or humorous status updates.

Publishing on other sites

Spread Content for SEOYou could also try publishing content on other sites that are already established. It can take a year of regularly published content to get your website established and noticed so why not just go the route of using someone else’s sit?

Publish on sites like LinkedIn since it’s already a business-related site and it allows users to publish their long-form blog posts in the Pulse section. Also look at Quora, another established website for content, in which people are on there looking for advice and information.

Use these tops methods for spreading content online and watch your target audience increase in potential customers through your blog.
