An Easy Way to Display Your Related Posts and Pages in WordPress

Maybe you’ve seen other blogs that show three to five related pages or posts at the end of each page or post on their blog. This is a very powerful way to keep readers on your website, help them find good information and provide many other benefits.

In this WordPress tutorial we will cover the easiest way to display related posts and pages below your content in WordPress.

Using YARPP or Yet Another Related Posts Plugin to Display Related Posts and Pages

Start by downloading the YARPP plugin, here. Then, you will need to upload the plugin by going to Plugins >> Add New within your WordPress dashboard. Once you’ve installed and activated the plugin, you can access it from the Settings Tab. It will be a new sub-section called YARPP.

From this section, you can adjust the different settings of the plugin. “The Pool” is the first section and allows you to change the pool of posts to display by selecting specific categories and a timeframe.

You can also use the “Relatedness” Options section to make adjustments to the posts that will display.

The main area where most new WordPress users will make their changes is the Display Options section. This section allows you to display related posts and pages on new posts, pages and media. It will also allow you to change the number of posts and pages to display and how they are displayed.

Once you’ve made all your changes, make sure to click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

When you create a new post or page, you will have a new box below the edit screen that will show the posts that will display once you publish it. It will look like this and will fill up with posts and pages, once you create and publish or schedule the new post or page.

If you want to display related posts and pages below your content, this is by far the easiest way to do it. Yes, you can hard code this into your WordPress website, but if you don’t know how to write code, it’s much easier to just use the Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.
